Help Wanted - Caretaker

Harvest Moon Society is looking for a Caretaker to start near the end of summer as soon as possible.

The Harvest Moon Education Caretaker is an integral member of the Harvest Moon team.  

Responsibilities:

• Sweep all floors

• Mop the hallway, bathrooms and kitchen when needed and other rooms if needed

• Wash dishrags

• Wipe down all parts of the bathroom, and scrub the toilets

• Check mousetraps

• Dust regularly

• Shovel small amounts of snow

• Vacuum the entrance rooms

• Sweep the sidewalks in the summer.

• Take out garbage and recycling

• Wipe down all tables and counters in the kitchen and sanitize high touch surfaces

• Liaise regularly with the facilities committee advising them on any current or developing issues with the building

• Go to the school on Monday and Wednesday evenings to make sure the bathrooms, entrance, hallways and sidewalks are cleared off before pre-school

• Clean bedrooms after use and check for cleanliness before guests are expected

• Clean cabins after use and check for cleanliness before guests are expected

• Collaborate regularly with other HMS staff including through staff meetings.

Hours: 5-10 hours/week
Remuneration: $20/hour
