Dream of having bees in your backyard? In this 3-part workshop series, you’ll work with an experienced beekeeper to learn the basics of keeping a small hive for personal use. You’ll leave with the confidence, guidance and techniques to care for your very own bees.


June 19th – 1 pm – 3 pm: Meet the bees, learn to identify the castes and cover the basics of beekeeping gear.

July 10th – 1 pm – 3 pm: Learn about hive location, hive health and brood.

August 14th – 10 am – 1 pm: We’ll cover swarms and honey extraction.

$40 per person for each session.

You can register for one day, or all three! Participants should bring their own bee suit, veiled hat and gloves. Some extra gear may be available. Not recommended for those with bee allergies.
